I'm sooo excited!! Yesterday I started my first batch of Kombucha!! How appropriate that during this week leading up to Mother's Day, that I would start my very own Mother Booch!
Zach and his g.friend went to Yellow Springs yesterday. Yellow Springs is a funky little town where thinking is liberal; emulating a sort of carefree hippie-ish atmosphere. It is a great day trip for shopping, hiking and yummy food.
I told him before he left, "Hey, let me know if they have any Kombucha". It would only seem appropriate in thinking that these forthcoming hippies would be tuned in to the natural health benefits of Kombucha. And guess what?? Holy hallelujah and Happy Mother's Day...he brought me home an actual starter kit! I couldn't have been more thrilled and excited...lol...I know, I'm a weirdo.
I really, really have been wanting to dive into learning all about this process, but recently have literally forced myself from starting any new projects that would take my focus off of my studies. (Hahaha...as here I sit blogging. Let's call my blogging...recess.) I am keeping all things at a minimum until my return from Austin on June 3.

This however seemed so easy and it was all sitting here right before my eyes...I simply could not resist starting this magical brew! I grabbed the goods and ran to the kitchen. My children are skeptical and cautious when I talk about this Kombucha thing. I giggle and laugh and tease them by saying..."Who knows, soon I will have my own Kombucha bar and will lovingly be called Momma Booch or the Kombucha Bitch". I suppose I have always been 'That Mom' who is always full of surprises...hang on, because you never know what I will be up to next!
You can refresh yourself with the amazing health benefits that Kombucha has to offer, in an earlier post entitled, KOMBUCHA LESSON. I will be posting some class schedules as soon as I return from Austin. I can't wait to share this with you...but first, back to the books...sigh.
Oh good can't wait for you to get back so I can learn to make some tea too. o:)
